Rebecca Mlinek . Writer & Director

Rebecca Mlinek chairs the Carver Center literary arts department in Towson, MD. Her screenplays have garnered numerous awards, including the 2019 Academy Nicholls Fellowship Semifinals, Roadmap Writer’s 2019 Top Tier contest, and the 2020 ISA Genre Top 10. She is a 2020 Saul Zaentz Film Innovation Fellow and SZIF Screenplay Lab Fellow, was awarded a scholarship to the 2019 Rocaberti Writers Retreat, and is also a Stowe Story Labs alumnus.

Publication credits include F(r)iction Magazine, B(oink) Zine, Convivium Journal, and Local Gems Press. She was a finalist for both the Francine Ringold Poetry Prize and the Tuscany Press prize for fiction.

Somebody Killed Mom, an audio drama which she wrote and produced, is available now on most major podcast platforms.

Rebecca is currently working on a novel about perception versus reality via haunting, and is in pre-production on a narrative short set to film in early Spring: The Familiar.

Robin Noonan-Price . Producer

Robin Noonan-Price earned her MA in Film and Video Production from The American University. Robin’s career started in Georgia where she worked in television sales, traffic and production, and as a commercial copywriter. In the mid-90s, while juggling motherhood with three young daughters at home, Robin started her own production company, filming and editing everything from weddings to corporate videos. In 2000, Robin took a full-time producer position with Fairfax County Public Schools where she has been working ever since. Robin’s primary role at FCPS has been producing Meet the Author. Robin currently serves as President of Women in Film and Video, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing the career development and achievement for professionals working in all areas of screen-based media. Robin is a four-time Emmy Award nominee as producer of Meet the Author, a five-time Telly Award winner and has earned three TIVA-DC Peer Awards.

Madeline Tesh . Producer

Since graduation from Converse College in 2014 with a musical theater degree, Madeline Tesh has been acting and dancing her way through the industry. She loves being a part of all realms of production, from PA to producer. Her most recent work includes Evolution and The Hounds. When Madeline is not in front of or behind the camera, you can find her traveling with friends and family and dreaming of the day she can have a French Bulldog named Renfrow!

Katie Mlinek . Director of Photography

Katie Mlinek (Cinematographer) is from Baltimore, MD. As the oldest of six wild girls, she is passionate about telling stories about the beauty of families and females. Her work has been featured in festivals such as The Independent Shorts Awards, The Newport Beach Film Festival, and the Tryon International Film Festival. She has been working on independent feature productions since she was 16 and is currently in her senior year at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where she expects to graduate in May 2021.

 

Ferdinand MacFarlane . First Assistant Director

Fer Macfarlane is a Mexican filmmaker and visual artist. He has lived in Ecuador, Peru, Chile, and is currently a senior studying at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Fer has worked on a variety of film projects, primarily as a director and assistant director. He has a passion for documentary and independent film, magical realist literature and the music of Tom Waits.

 

Jack Hanson . Editor/Special Effects

Jack Hansen is a freelance picture and sound editor from New Jersey. He is currently pursuing a BFA in Filmmaking at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and expects to graduate in May of 2021. In 2019, Jack was one of three finalists for a national student editing contest hosted by American Cinema Editors (ACE). 

 

Rebecca Williams Spindler . Production Coordinator

Rebecca has a richly diverse heritage reaching from the Appalachian Mountains to the Philippine Islands. Her short screenplay, Wrong Number Right Day, won the 2015 Project Famous Screenplay competition and was produced by Project Famous Films. Her short comedy, Son of the Seed, was produced in 2020 by MaxJet Productions and was an official selection at the 2021 Venice Shorts Film Festival. Rebecca's career has spanned from on-air radio personality, television camera operator, script editor, assistant producer, to Human Resource professional. Rebecca served as as a writing instructor for University of Wisconsin–Madison, Continuing Studies; adjunct faculty for Madison College in creative writing; and as Vice President of the Wisconsin Screenwriters Forum.Eris Zhao is a cinematographer based in Los Angeles. She received her BA at the University of Oklahoma in Film Production and Fine Arts. She is currently a second-year MFA candidate at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. She has completed several narrative shorts that are official selections and winners at festivals including Asian Film Festival Los Angeles, DC short film festival, Clermont-Ferrand ISFF, Short to the Point, and Rolling Ideas. Eris is passionate about creating Asian characters with depth that are both meaningful and entertaining.

 

Corkey Miller . Animal Trainer

Kim 'Corkey' Miller is known for her work with various animals from Groundhog Day (1993) to Stoker (2013), Chaplin (1992), and WJHC AM (2021), in addition to her work on television and commercials.
